Remington is one of four boys from our Typewriter Litter, a litter of five Kelpie × German Shepherd mix puppies born on 10 June. Their only sister, Olympia, is already spoken for, leaving the four boys now looking for homes of their own.
At this age, Remington is very much a youngster with plenty still to learn. With two intelligent and active working breeds behind him, we expect him to grow into a clever, capable dog who will do best with people prepared to put some time into training, socialisation and giving him appropriate outlets for both his brain and his energy.
Remington is the largest pup in the litter. We expect Remington to mature into a medium-to-large dog, although his eventual size will become clearer as we obtain updated weights and watch him grow.

Like all young puppies, Remington will need guidance with the usual puppy basics, including toilet training, lead walking, manners and learning how the household works.
A Kelpie × German Shepherd is likely to be intelligent, loyal and highly trainable, but this is not a mix we would recommend for someone wanting a dog who can simply entertain himself in the backyard. Remington needs people who want an involved companion and are prepared to help him grow into the good dog he has every chance of becoming.

❤️ Deferred Desexing Program
As these puppies are still too young to be desexed, they will be adopted under ARK’s Deferred Desexing Program. Desexing is covered by the adoption fee, subject to the terms and conditions of ARK’s Deferred Desexing Puppy Adoption Contract. The adopter will be required to prevent the puppy from breeding and ensure that he is desexed on or before 10 March 2027, when he is nine months old, or later by negotiation.

Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
