Hokkaido is one of those pups who makes you laugh before he even does anything — he’s just built for joy. With his chonky frame, gorgeous red roan coat, and that endlessly cheerful expression, he’s the definition of a happy-go-lucky boy. Everything about him is big: big personality, big enthusiasm, big heart. And most of all, big cuddles. Hokkaido lives for affection — the kind of pup who leans his whole body into you when he wants cuddles.

He’s wonderfully dog‑savvy, having been in care with both big and small dogs, and he brings a friendly energy to every interaction. He’s social, confident, and always the first to bounce over with a wagging tail and a “hey, wanna play?” vibe. He loves playtime — silly wrestling, joyful chase games, and those adorable puppy pounces — but he also has a softness to him. After a good play session, he’s the first to flop down beside his brother, sigh contentedly, and settle in for a cuddle.

Hokkaido is toilet trained, crate trained, and doing beautifully with routine. He’s bright, eager to please, and very people‑focused, which makes him a dream to train. Like his brother, he’s entering the classic puppy nipping stage, so he’ll need a family who understands this developmental phase and can guide him with patience and positive reinforcement. He responds incredibly well to gentle redirection and thrives when he feels connected to his humans.

He’s the kind of pup who will grow into a deeply devoted companion — affectionate, joyful, and full of heart. Hokkaido brings warmth wherever he goes, and his future family will be getting a dog who makes every day feel a little softer, a little sweeter, and a lot more full of love.
