About Ora
Hello there! I’m Ora, and I’m officially accepting applications for my forever family.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR ORA
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM

My Ideal Home:
• I’m still a puppy, which means I will chew, nip, have accidents, bark, and sometimes be a little destructive. With patience, consistency, and training, I’ll learn — but I need a family fully committed to putting in the time and effort to help me succeed.
• I’ll need daily exercise — walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Training, training, training — it’s essential that I receive consistent guidance in every aspect of my life so I can become the very best companion as I mature.
• I want to be part of the family indoors — not left outside without interaction.
• As a social and playful pup, I may really enjoy attending doggy daycare.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• I’d love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• A good-quality dry food diet will help support my dental health.
• When I get excited, I can be a little bouncy and mouthy, so any children in the home (above 6) would need to feel comfortable and confident around an energetic, enthusiastic dog joining the family.
• As an active breed, I have lots of energy, so I’ll need an active family who can keep up with me.
• I would LOVE a doggy companion to keep me company when my family isn’t home, or a household where someone is around most of the time. I can feel lonely and a little anxious when left alone, which may lead to barking or destructive behaviour.
• I was unsure around cats at the shelter and ignored them, but I may become more inquisitive as my confidence grows. If I join a home with a cat, they’ll need to be dog-savvy and introductions must be gradual and well managed.
My Paw-some Perks:
• I’m very social and happy to hang out with other friendly dogs — total social butterfly!
• I’m a very playful, happy pup with the cutest little wiggle-butt when I’m excited.
• I’m highly food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly.
• I (mostly) walk nicely on lead for a young dog, and with daily walks I’ll only keep improving
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I’m quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I’m clever, enthusiastic, and would thrive with a family who’ll continue my training and maybe even teach me some cool new tricks.
Training/Support Needs:
• I haven’t had any formal training yet, so I’ll need help with all my basic manners and life skills. The good news is I love food and toys, which will make positive training lots of fun and rewarding for me.
• I can be a little bouncy when excited, but consistent training will help me learn calmer behaviours.
• I’m not housetrained yet, as I haven’t previously been allowed inside, so I’ll need guidance and consistency to learn.
Please Note: You’ll only be able to meet Ora if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
