About Teddy
Introducing Teddy!
Teddy is a Cavalier x Poodle born 5th December 2025.
Teddy was brought into us as a stray. When talking with his owners they mentioned that they both work full-time & Teddy is struggling being by himself every day. Unfortunatley this means that Teddy has been digging under their fences & taking himself out for a walk in the neighbourhood. They made the difficult decision to rehome him due to his separation anxiety.
Teddy's surrender profile states he is house trained, has no food aggression, he travels well in the car, is friendly with children & adult strangers, he's friendly with cats, dogs & is outgoing and confident. He does have separation anxiety and has previous pulled off palings from their old wooden fence. When they upgraded the fencing he started digging underneath.
Since being at the facility Teddy has been an incredibly affectionate & sweet boy. He loves his cuddles. Teddy is excited by life in general and absolutely loves his human companions. He knows a few commands like 'sit', 'wait' & 'shake' and is just an all-round beautiful boy. Teddy does like to stand on his back feet when he's excited and wants to climb in your lap every chance he gets. Being young, he is still an energetic boy who needs plenty of mental and physical stimulation.
Teddy tested well with other dogs, but was a little shy at times so he may need a slower introduction when meeting new friends. We believe Teddy could be suitable to live with another dog, or be the spoilt only "child" at home.
Teddy seemed mostly unfazed.. if not a little scared of our facility cat. We believe he could be suitable to live with cats if given a slow & controlled introduction to them.
Teddy seemed unfazed by pocket pets at the facility. We believe that Teddy could be suitable to live with small animals if given a slow & controlled introduction to them.
Teddy has shown no signs of food aggression since being at the facility, however he has shown signs of separation anxiety and will bark if left alone for extended periods. He will also need a very secure yard with digging precautions in place if he is to be left outside when you go out.
Teddy would love to be adopted to an owner/family who will include him in their day to day life & be a cherished member of the family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Teddy, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900272 to organise a meet and greet.
Teddy’s adoption fee is $850, and this includes his desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. Teddy is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Teddy is currently located in East Maitland.

Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
