Meet Harvey 🐾

Harvey is a sweet, gentle young boy who can be a little timid when first finding his feet, but with patience and kindness his lovely personality soon begins to shine. He has made huge progress in foster care and is becoming more confident and friendly every day.

He enjoys a daily walk and has come a long way with his lead training, now walking happily. At home, Harvey is wonderfully settled and can be left while his humans are at work. He also loves spending time outside relaxing and exploring the garden.

Harvey is fully house trained with no accidents and is currently working on crate training and his basic commands. He loves soft cuddly toys — especially his beloved chicken — and is always up for a game of tug-of-war with his rope.

Once comfortable, Harvey enjoys affection and will regularly flop down to request a good tummy rub. He also has an adorable habit of collecting "treasures" from around the house and taking them back to his crate. Shoes, socks, doorstops and random household items may all become part of Harvey's carefully curated collection! 😂

Car travel is still a little daunting for him, so he'll need someone willing to help him build confidence with patient, positive exposure. He hasn't yet really been exposed to other animals or children so far.

Harvey is a lovely young dog who has already come such a long way. With a patient home to continue building his confidence, he'll reward his people with plenty of affection, companionship and his own sweet little quirks. 🐶💕

I CAN FLY TO PERTH!

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth.

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:

1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.

2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.

3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.

4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.

NOTES:
Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.

*Puppies may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee.
