Meet Rusty 🐾❤️

Rusty is a handsome Mini Spoodle weighing just under 15kg. He is a happy, energetic boy who loves running around and enjoying himself in a grassy backyard. 🌿

Rusty is a gentle soul with absolutely no nasty bones in him. He really enjoys the company of other gentle dogs and gets along well with them. Most of all, Rusty loves people and is happiest when he can be around his humans. ❤️

Rusty does struggle with being left alone. He can become quite anxious and barky when he is by himself, so a home where his people are around more often and where he has another friendly canine companion would be ideal for him.

Rusty will need some further training, particularly with his jumping when he gets excited. The good news is that he is a very clever boy and loves his food, which should make positive-reinforcement training much easier! 😋

Overall, Rusty is a sweet, loving and gentle boy who is looking for an active, patient family willing to give him the training, exercise, companionship and mental stimulation he needs to thrive.

Rusty’s curly coat is as beautiful as it requires care, needing regular brushing and professional grooming every 4–5 weeks to avoid matting.

• Royal Canin kibble for breakfast
• Raw chicken necks for lunch
• Home-cooked meal for dinner
• Chicken jerky & Laughing Cow cheese as treats

3. Could you please tell us about yourself and your household, including:

* Number of people in the household
* Ages of all household members
* Occupations of household members
* Whether you own or rent your home
***Please also provide some photos of your home, including the areas where Rusty will spend his time and the backyard/outdoor area.

4. Do you currently have any other animals living with you?
If so, please provide details about each animal, including their species, age, breed and personality, and how they generally interact with other animals.

5. Do you have previous experience with Rusty’s breed? If not, have you done thorough research into the breed, including its temperament, exercise needs, grooming, training and potential health requirements?

6. Are you familiar with the long-term responsibilities of dog ownership, including training, socialisation, exercise and ongoing care? Are you willing to give Rusty the time, patience and support he needs to settle into his new home?

7. How many hours will Rusty be left alone on a typical day? Who will be responsible for caring for him during your working hours, absences, holidays or other periods when you are unable to be with him?

8. Are you financially and practically prepared to provide Rusty with quality veterinary care, preventative healthcare, grooming and nutritious food throughout his lifetime?

9. Will Rusty be considered a member of your family and primarily live indoors, with appropriate access to a secure backyard/outdoor area? Please describe where Rusty will sleep and how he will be accommodated overnight.

10. If your circumstances change in the future and you are no longer able to care for Rusty, do you agree to contact PFPRI and seek our assistance before making any arrangements to surrender, rehome him?
