Moose is a magnificent 5-year-old Cane Corso x Bullmastiff and, at 57 kgs, there is quite a lot of him to admire.
He is new to ARK care, but what we have seen so far is a well-socialised, impressive dog with a lovely nature. Our vet evidently thought so too, recording simply “lovely boy” at his recent examination.
Moose is a big, strong dog and needs a home that understands large guardian breeds. His size alone means that good handling, sensible boundaries and confident management are important. He is not suited to first-time dog owners or a household with small children.
To be prudent, we believe Moose would be best as the only dog, although we would consider a home with a suitably matched large female dog following careful introductions.
✓ Well socialised
✓ Calm, impressive presence
✓ Described by our vet as a “lovely boy”
✓ Recently desexed
✓ C3 vaccinated
✓ Microchipped
✓ 57 kgs of very handsome dog
Moose was desexed on 18 August 2026. His procedure included a scrotal ablation because a mast cell tumour was present on the scrotal skin.
Because of his considerable size and strength, Moose needs:
✓ An experienced large-dog home
✓ Secure fencing
✓ Plenty of inclusion in family life
✓ No small children
✓ No cats
✓ Preferably no other dog, or potentially a compatible large female
Moose is not a dog for everyone — but for someone who knows and appreciates the big mastiff breeds, he is a particularly handsome and appealing fellow.
If you have the experience, space and confidence for 57 kgs of Moose, we would love to hear from you.
