About Karma
Hello there! I'm Karma, and I'm officially accepting applications for my forever family.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR KARMA
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/SmBr1WBaTdA1LKNq6
Please Note: You'll only be able to meet Karma if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
General:
• I'll need daily exercise - walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion.
• I do love playing with the hose
• I walk quite well on lead, but I can pull if something catches my attention.
• I MUST be part of the family indoors - not left outside without interaction.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• I'd love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• Most importantly, I'm looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• I do love to put my paws up on you when I’m looking for attention so any children in the home would need to feel comfortable. Also, children that understand not to take treats or toys from me.
• Socialisation is just as important as training. Taking me to new places, introducing me to all sorts of people, dogs, and other animals will help me grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog.
Dog Compatibility:
• I get along with friendly female and male dogs.
• I would happily live my life as the only dog, getting all the love and cuddles from my humans.
• I’m not overly playful with other dogs but I would be okay to co-exist with another calm, friendly female dog who isn’t overly boisterous.
Cat / small animal:
• No cats, small animals or poultry – I am not a fan and will chase.
Extras:
• I do have a misaligned jaw, which is why my tongue sticks out sometimes, but I have been checked out by the vet and they said it was possibly a birth defect. I can still open my jaw wide and don’t have any pain. If I live with another dog, I may need to be feed separately due to this issue, so I can enjoy my dinner at my pace.
PLEASE NOTE: Shelter staff make the final decision based on determining if the applicant can meet the animals needs (lifestyle, home environment, experience) Our goal is to ensure a permanent home that sets both the animal and new family up for success.
Shelter staff reserve the right to deny an adoption if they determine the animal's specific needs do not match the applicant's lifestyle.
Medical notes
• I do have a misaligned jaw but I have been checked out by the vet and they said it was possibly a birth defect as no break was detected in the x-ray. I can still open my jaw wide and don’t have any pain.
