Meet Bagel
Bagel is a 2 year old Staffy x Australian Bulldog with a heart as big as his squishy face and he's every bit as sweet as his name!

This gorgeous boy is an absolute cuddlebug who firmly believes he is a lap dog. His favourite place is right beside his people, and when he's feeling a little overwhelmed, having someone close helps him feel safe and settled. He's affectionate, gentle and simply loves being part of the family.

Bagel is also proving to be a bit of a couch potato. He's wonderfully well behaved when left home alone for a few hours and hasn't shown any interest in chewing, scratching or getting into mischief. He doesn't bark unnecessarily, doesn't try to steal food and is generally just an incredibly easygoing boy.

He's a clever fellow too! Bagel knows "sit" and responds beautifully to a whistle for "come here". His foster family has even been calling him "Potato" because, somewhat randomly, he responds to it brilliantly and honestly, it seems pretty fitting for this lovable couch potato!

Out and about, Bagel is a dream to walk. He doesn't pull on the lead, even when passing other dogs or people, making walks a lovely experience. He can be a little nervous when he first encounters something new, but he recovers quickly and warms up to people wonderfully.

Like all dogs, Bagel has a couple of little things his new family will need to know. He has a habit of needing to wee shortly after eating, so his foster family has found feeding him under the porch makes things a little easier. With routine and patience, this is something his new family can continue to manage.

Overall, Bagel is one seriously lovely boy. He's affectionate, calm, gentle, well behaved and happiest when he's close to his people. Whether he's enjoying a walk, learning something new or snuggling up on the couch, Bagel is ready to be someone's loyal and loving best friend.
