We offer a foster to adopt period so you can get to know each other in a home environment before making a lifelong commitment. Our goal is to ensure the best possible match for both cat and adopter.

Jewel’s story began when she was found alone in a park by a ranger at around 6 months of age. She was understandably terrified and appeared to have been surviving on her own from a very young age. Thankfully, she was taken into care.

Despite her difficult start, Jewel has her own sweet and gentle way of showing affection. She loves curling up on your lap for a snooze when you’re home and enjoys having her people nearby. She is also quite independent and is perfectly happy spending time on her own.

One of Jewel’s favourite things is finding a sunny spot to sleep in, soaking up the sunshine as it streams through the window. ☀️

Jewel has been kept indoors since she was rescued and will need to remain an indoor only cat.

She would be best suited to a quiet and calm home where she can settle in at her own pace. Jewel is used to being around other cats, although she tends to prefer her own space. She is curious when visitors come over, but she isn't a cat who enjoys constant fussing, she prefers affection on her own terms.

Jewel is looking for a peaceful forever home where she can enjoy sunny windows, cosy naps, and the companionship of someone who understands and appreciates her independent nature.

A little reminder about cat health 🏥

While we do everything we can to give our cats the best possible start when we rescue them, we can never guarantee that a cat will remain healthy for life.

Cats, just like humans, can become unwell. Medical conditions can be dormant and flare up or appear later in life. Sometimes illness happens despite everyone doing everything right.

Adopting a cat means committing to caring for them in sickness and in health.

Our commitment to you is to be honest and up front about any known health concerns and provide adopters with the information we have available at the time of the adoption.

Jewel is a strictly indoor only cat and will only be adopted to a home committed to keeping him safely indoors at all times.

A secure catio or fully enclosed outdoor space can be a wonderful way for her to safely enjoy some fresh air.
