Callie is a shy and scared little girl who can be quite flighty when she is unsure of her surroundings. Despite this, she is easy to handle and underneath that nervous exterior is a sweet young kitten who simply needs the time and space to feel safe.

Callie will need a quiet, patient home without small children, where she can settle in and decompress at her own pace. Her new family will need to understand that everything needs to happen on Callie's terms. She isn't a kitten who will immediately rush over for cuddles, and she may need some time to feel comfortable enough to show her true personality.

For Callie, trust is something that will need to be earned. Her new family will need to be patient, gentle and willing to let her set the pace, celebrating all those little milestones along the way. A quiet room, a predictable routine and plenty of patience will help her learn that she is safe and loved.

We truly believe there is a beautiful companion hiding underneath Callie's shyness. Once she learns to trust her people and gains some confidence, we think this little girl will blossom into something very special.
