Loken was found on the streets of Footscray as part of a colony of cats, trying to fend for himself. Thankfully, this little boy was looking for a better life and wandered into the backyard of a foster carer, where he was brought into care and given the chance to discover how wonderful life can be.

Loken is a handsome black Domestic Short Hair with a long, sleek tail and a wonderfully quirky personality. He is active, agile, curious and playful, but can also be a little shy and likes to do things on his own terms. Once he gets to know you, his playful and amusing personality really starts to shine.

Loken would suit a quieter home with patient humans who understand that he needs time to build trust and get comfortable. He is very good with other cats and would love a furry friend to play with. His sister Asher is also available for adoption, so they could potentially make a wonderful pair. He would suit children over 12 who can give him the space he needs while he gets to know them.

Loken loves his food, playing with toys and spending time with his feline friends. He even has a protective side and likes to sleep at your feet at night! He is still wary of hands and can get his claws out during play, so gentle handling and allowing him to approach at his own pace will be important. Loken isn't always keen on people getting too close too quickly, but once he trusts you, you'll get to see what a funny, playful and special little man he really is. Some people think black cats are unlucky, but Loken is proof that this couldn't be further from the truth. He was lucky enough to find his way into a backyard and into rescue, and now he's hoping his good fortune will continue in a loving forever home. To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent and your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from our group. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
