Meet Oreo! Oreo is a gorgeous, 7 month old Rottweiler x Siberian Husky who is ready to find her forever family. She is a remarkably smart puppy who loves toys and treats, and can already perform basic commands like "sit". Beneath her energetic exterior lies an incredibly sweet dog who is eager to form a deep bond with the right people.

Because Oreo is still a young and enthusiastic puppy, she can get a bit jumpy and is still learning to feel completely comfortable with handling. For these reasons, she requires a household where everyone is at least 16 years old. Her ideal adopters will be committed to guiding her through ongoing puppy socialization, building foundational obedience skills, and providing gradual, positive confidence-building as she encounters unfamiliar people, environments, and dogs.

Oreo has a great social side and recently aced her dog test, meaning she could be a fantastic match to live alongside another well-matched dog following a proper introduction at the shelter.

She is currently finding the shelter environment quite overwhelming, and our vet team has prescribed a short-term course of shelter stress medication to help her manage her anxiety. Adopters will be provided with enough medication to wean her off once she transitions into the comfort and calm of a real home.
