About Fergus
This beautiful boy has picked up a lot of nicknames in the short time he’s been in foster care: The obvious ‘Fergilicious’ as well as ‘Absolute Unit’, ‘The Biggest Loaf’ and ‘The Most Perfectly Round Face Ever’. He’s a tank of ginger purr & we dare you not to fall in love with those big yellow eyes!
He’s a typical British Shorthair & can come across as a bit stand-offish but he’s easily bribed with treats & he became quite affectionate within the first week in foster care. He can jump but prefers to nothing higher than your lap/couch height, he’s probs not gonna be a Cat Tower kinda guy.
He has a Cat House hidey hole at ground height that is like a safe space (think of it like a dog & it’s crate). He will need a similar space to retreat to as he settles in but give it a few days & he’ll do his big stretches as he comes out for breakfast, leaning on your legs while doing the biggest purrs & making bikkies on the ground with his back feet.
Fergus was surrendered when his owner went into a nursing home. He’s 8 years old & has definite enjoyed a well-fed life. His primary diet is current Royal Canin Fit to support a gentle reduction in his waistline while still getting to enjoy a good chomp.
Fergus is a British Shorthair so can have “weepy eyes” that’s typical for his breed. In his stay with us this has been next to un-noticeable & mainly amounting to a lil’ sleep in the corner of one eye most mornings.
He’s a reserved cat so isn’t big on loud noise so would not suit a house with young kids 12. Fergus is not a fan of other cats & has not been tested with dogs though it’s likely as he wouldn’t love their big energy vibes. He’s a sleep, purr, eat, sleep kinda guy.
If you’re looking for a low maintenance heart throb with a solid amount of handsome & purr & you can offer him a quiet home with the occasional churu, you’ll both be very happy.
