🐾 Meet Winnie — Our Beautiful Ruby Cavalier ❤️

Winnie is a lovely 4-year-old Cavalier with a beautiful, shiny, rich ruby-coloured coat. ❤️

She is a sweet, loving-natured girl who absolutely adores people and loves nothing more than receiving pats, cuddles and plenty of attention. Winnie is happiest when she is close to her humans — whether relaxing on her bed or curling up on the couch beside her favourite person. 🥰

Winnie can be a little needy and really enjoys having company, so a retired couple or a home where someone is home often would be best suited to her.

🍗 Winnie absolutely loves her food! However, she can become a little dominant around mealtimes when other dogs are nearby. Outside of feeding time, she gets along very well with other gentle dogs.

Winnie has a short snout, so she does make some cute snorting sounds and can also snore when she is asleep. 😴❤️

Overall, Winnie is a beautiful, gentle girl who would make a wonderful companion for a family who has the time to give her the love, companionship and attention she deserves, and who will include her in everyday family life.

🏡 Winnie is an indoor girl and knows how to use the doggy door to go outside for toileting. She also enjoys heading out into the backyard for little strolls during the day.

2. Do you understand that Winnie’s adoption fee helps support PFPRI with veterinary and medical expenses, as well as the ongoing care of all rescued animals in our care, and that the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE?

3. Could you please tell us about yourself and your household, including:
* Your full address
* Number of people in the household
* Ages of all household members
* Occupations of household members
* Whether you own or rent your home
***Please also provide some photos of your home, including the areas where Winnie will spend her time and the backyard/outdoor area.

4. Do you currently have any other animals living with you?
If so, please provide details about each animal, including their species, age, breed and personality, and how they generally interact with other animals.

5. Do you have previous experience with Winnie’s breed? If not, have you done thorough research into the breed, including its temperament, exercise needs, grooming, training and potential health requirements?

6. Are you familiar with the long-term responsibilities of dog ownership, including training, socialisation, exercise and ongoing care? Are you willing to give Winnie the time, patience and support she needs to settle into her new home?

7. How many hours will Winnie be left alone on a typical day? Who will be responsible for caring for her during your working hours, absences, holidays or other periods when you are unable to be with her?

8. Are you financially and practically prepared to provide Winnie with quality veterinary care, preventative healthcare, grooming and nutritious food throughout his lifetime?

9. Will Winnie be considered a member of your family and primarily live indoors, with appropriate access to a secure backyard/outdoor area? Please describe where Winnie will sleep and how she will be accommodated overnight.

10. If your circumstances change in the future and you are no longer able to care for Winnie, do you agree to contact PFPRI and seek our assistance before making any arrangements to surrender or re-home her?
