Meet Rusty, an exceptionally handsome Mini Spoodle weighing just under 15kg, whose heart is as golden as his curly ruby coat. He's an exuberant and gentle canine companion who thrives on love, pats, and attention. Rusty is the whole package: playful yet tender, active yet cuddly, and undoubtedly clever with a hint of cheeky. Nothing makes Rusty happier than being surrounded by his people, as he much prefers company to solitude. His ideal day is filled with companionship and activity, with plenty of room to join in everyday life with his new family.

Rusty is looking for a household with respectful children and maybe even another gentle doggie friend with a similar energy level to keep him company. Respect, connection, and a welcoming environment are exactly what Rusty thrives on. For Ragstaff's best results, it is essential to have a presence-at-home lifestyle as he can get barky and anxious when left alone for extended periods. Rusty knows how to manage well in a car for those daily adventures you’ll undoubtedly share, and he’s a clever boy who has mastered the doggy door.

When it comes to food, Rusty is a true connoisseur! He currently enjoys Royal Canin kibble, raw chicken necks, healthy home-cooked meals, and chicken jerky treats. Of course, having a coat as stunning as his does come with some grooming responsibility. Regular home brushing and professional grooming every 4-5 weeks will keep him looking his best.

Rusty will relish a home where he’s included as part of the family, given respect and patience, and offered an endless supply of love and companionship. In return, he'll provide devotion and a joyful spirit that will enrich every day.

2. Do you understand that Rusty’s adoption fee helps support PFPRI with veterinary and medical expenses, as well as the ongoing care of all rescued animals in our care, and that the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE?

3. Could you please tell us about yourself and your household, including:
* Your full address
* Number of people in the household
* Ages of all household members
* Occupations of household members
* Whether you own or rent your home
***Please also provide some photos of your home, including the areas where Kobi will spend his time and the backyard/outdoor area.

4. Do you currently have any other animals living with you?
If so, please provide details about each animal, including their species, age, breed and personality, and how they generally interact with other animals.

5. Do you have previous experience with Rusty’s breed? If not, have you done thorough research into the breed, including its temperament, exercise needs, grooming, training and potential health requirements?

6. Are you familiar with the long-term responsibilities of dog ownership, including training, socialisation, exercise and ongoing care? Are you willing to give Rusty the time, patience and support he needs to settle into his new home?

7. How many hours will Rusty be left alone on a typical day? Who will be responsible for caring for him during your working hours, absences, holidays or other periods when you are unable to be with him?

8. Are you financially and practically prepared to provide Rusty with quality veterinary care, preventative healthcare, grooming and nutritious food throughout his lifetime?

9. Will Rusty be considered a member of your family and primarily live indoors, with appropriate access to a secure backyard/outdoor area? Please describe where Rusty will sleep and how he will be accommodated overnight.

10. If your circumstances change in the future and you are no longer able to care for Rusty, do you agree to contact PFPRI and seek our assistance before making any arrangements to surrender, rehome him?
