About Maimai
Maimai is a desexed male Ragdoll available for adoption in Ipswich (Greater Brisbane, QLD).
Maimai is a big-hearted, gentle cat who takes everything in his stride. Patient and soft-natured, he's the kind of cat who greets the world calmly, whatever it brings.
He carries himself with a quiet confidence, the kind of cat who looks out for everyone around him without ever needing to make a fuss about it.
He's bonded to Minmin, who shares his home and is also looking for her own family. See Minmin's profile to find out more about keeping the two of them connected.
A little about Maimai:
🐾 Never uses his claws, gentle through and through
🐾 Adores a chin scratch and isn't shy about asking for one
🐾 Looks out for the other cats in his home, a natural protector
🐾 Lights up for a moving toy and a good, energetic chase
🐾 Has a serious soft spot for a bit of pork floss as an occasional treat
Maimai's days have an easy shape. Mornings bring a burst of play with his favourite toys, then the pace slows right down for a long, sunny nap. Evenings find him back on patrol, keeping a gentle eye on his surroundings before settling in for the night.
Ask for a chin scratch and he'll tip his head back for it, often drifting into a contented snore halfway through.
Maimai shows his affection quietly: a soft meow, a long look, settling in close beside you rather than demanding attention. He takes new people in his stride too, warming up with the same easy patience he brings to everything else, and rewarding a calm approach with his full trust.
Maimai would suit a calm, attentive household that enjoys a gentle, people-focused cat.
He settles in well wherever there's a steady routine and a soft spot for him to claim as his own, and he's just as content with quiet company as he is with an occasional play session, never asking for more than a bit of both.
His only care note is a light dental check-up down the track, nothing his current easy-going routine won't handle.
Picture a quiet evening with Maimai keeping watch by the window, one ear tuned to every sound outside. By the time you settle in, he's found his usual spot next to you, utterly at ease.
Maimai is a gentle, steady presence looking for a home that values exactly that. A soft-hearted protector, a devoted chin-scratch enthusiast, and a cat who gives far more than he asks for.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
