This beautiful Staghound mix is convinced she's actually part seal, part lap dog, and 100% cuddle enthusiast. Her greatest joy in life is being close to her people, soaking up every bit of attention she can get and following you from room to room to make sure she doesn't miss a single pat.
Zena has mastered the art of companionship. Whether you're working from home, watching TV, or enjoying a quiet afternoon, she'll happily settle right by your side. And the moment you lie down? Expect Zena to appear instantly, ready to claim the prime cuddling position and politely (or not so politely) demand a generous supply of belly scratches.
Despite her size, Zena firmly believes she belongs on the couch, in your lap, or wherever you happen to be. She's an affectionate, gentle soul who thrives on human connection and will reward her lucky family with endless love, loyalty, and companionship.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
