About Xena
Meet Xena!
Xena is a young Staghound cross bursting with happiness, energy, and enthusiasm for life. With her playful spirit and affectionate nature, she's always ready for the next adventure, whether that's exploring the great outdoors, zooming around the yard, or curling up with her favourite people after a busy day.
This beautiful girl thrives on human companionship and loves being involved in whatever her family is doing. Xena is looking for a home where she can be the centre of attention and build a strong bond with her people. For this reason, she would prefer to be the only dog in the household, allowing her to enjoy all the love, time, and attention she craves.
Xena would suit an active home that can provide plenty of exercise, enrichment, and opportunities for fun. In return, she'll bring endless affection, loyalty, and plenty of smiles to those lucky enough to welcome her into their lives.
If you're searching for a loving, lively companion to share your adventures and your heart, Xena could be the perfect match for you. ❤️

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
