About Tilly
Meet Tilly
Looking for a best friend who will fill your days with love, laughter, and endless smiles? Meet Tilly, a beautiful white American Bulldog with a heart as big as her adorable grin.
Tilly is a sweet, friendly girl who loves spending time with her people. She has a happy, affectionate nature and enjoys being involved in whatever her family is doing. Tilly approaches life with enthusiasm and confidence, proving every day that she is just as capable of living a full and happy life as any other dog.
Unfortunately, because of her deafness, Tilly has missed out on some of the foundational training many dogs receive in their early years. However, don't let that fool you. This clever girl is eager to learn and with a patient, understanding family willing to invest some time and consistency, she is sure to flourish. Positive reinforcement and clear visual communication will help Tilly show off just how smart she really is.
To help set her up for success, Tilly is looking for a home without young children and without other dogs in the household. While she is dog social and can enjoy the company of other dogs out and about, she would prefer to be the only dog at home so her individual needs can be fully supported and understood.
If you're searching for a loyal companion and are willing to see the world a little differently alongside her, Tilly will reward you with a lifetime of love, devotion, and friendship. She may not be able to hear your voice, but she has become an expert at listening with her heart.
Could Tilly be the missing piece of your family?

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
