About Arnold
For six years, Arnold was one of seven cats sharing a home. While he was cared for, he never really had the chance to experience what it's like to be someone's one-and-only, their constant companion, their "soul cat." Now, Arnold is hoping to find a family of his own where he can finally discover just how special that bond can be.
Arnold is a gentle, shy, and reserved boy who isn't interested in being the centre of attention. Instead, he's the kind of cat who quietly shares your space, offering comfort simply by being there. He's happiest keeping you company from the couch, sitting nearby while you relax, watch television, read a book, or enjoy a quiet evening at home.
This handsome big boy is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can settle in at his own pace. Arnold doesn't need constant fuss or expectations placed on him. What he needs is someone who will appreciate him for who he is, respect his boundaries, and allow his confidence to grow naturally. The best relationships with cats like Arnold are built on trust, patience, and letting them choose how and when they interact.
While he may not be the cat who immediately climbs into your lap, Arnold has all the makings of an incredibly rewarding companion. There is something truly special about earning the trust of a quiet cat and becoming the person they choose to spend their days beside.
Arnold is searching for a peaceful home and a kind-hearted adopter who understands that love doesn't always have to be loud. Sometimes it's a big, gentle cat curled up on the couch next to you, content simply to share your company. After six years of blending into the crowd, Arnold deserves the chance to be someone's cherished companion, and we're hoping his perfect person is out there waiting for him.
Arnold is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Arnold - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
