Meet Oat!

Oat is a very scared and sensitive boy who is looking for someone truly special to help him discover that the world can be a safe and loving place.

Oat can be quite frightened and unsure, so he will need an adopter who understands that trust takes time. He isn't looking for someone who expects instant cuddles - he needs someone who is happy to start with the smallest moments of connection and build from there.

Oat needs someone who can support him through his journey and show him small amounts of love at a time, without asking too much of him too soon. With patience, consistency and understanding, we hope he will slowly learn that he doesn't need to be afraid and that he is safe.

Oat is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Oat - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
