About Odie
Odie is a brilliant companion dog that loves being with his person/people and going on adventures.
Odie is a very easy dog to have around. Likes being a part of whatever is going on but also happy to potter around on his own.
Great with kids and it seems he is also fine with cats.
Odie LOVES playful dogs of a similar size and would love to go to a home with another SMALL dog or puppy that will let him be a bit bossy 🤣 or be a solo dog with opportunities for daily play dates.
Odie loves snacks, defluffing toys and exploring the most cobwebby corners of the garden. Loves using tha Jack Russell nose of his.
Odie dislikes larger fast moving dogs, will bark and snap at them. He can be the fun police when other dogs are playing around him, also will try and steal attention when another dog is getting patted, or jumping on the couch when he's sitting on it. This behaviour has improved after a big correction from Curtis his foster mate the border collie.
Odie is a very very easy dog, just not the kind of dog Curtis the border collie wants to spend all day with when his foster carer is at work, he's too sensitive for the bossy small dog syndrome 😂😂.
Odie recently had a big groom. Being a jack russell x maltese he generally has a shaggy coat.

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
