About Milo
πΎ Meet Milo β Little Legs, Big Personality! ππΆ
8.5 weeks old Dachshund x Staffy and Professional Cuteness Expert! π
Hello everyone! My name is Milo, and Iβm an adorable little Dachshund x Staffy boy who has arrived at Paw Prints Canine Rescue with my brother Otis. πΎ
We came into care after an accidental litter β Dad was the Dachshund and Mum was the Staffy. While there were a few of us, Otis and I are now getting ready to find our very own forever families.
Our foster mum says we're going to find the bestest homes, and she's making sure all our vet work is taken care of before we head off on our next big adventure. β€οΈ
Now, being only 8 weeks old, I should probably warn you that my daily routine is VERY demanding.
Wake up.
π½οΈ Eat.
π§ Drink.
π© Toilet.
πΎ PLAY!
π΄ Nap.
Thenβ¦ repeat! π
I'm currently about 85% toilet trained, which I think is pretty impressive for a little guy my age! I'm still learning how to use a doggy door too, but my foster mum has discovered that treats are an excellent educational tool, so I'm catching on quickly.
I'm not a huge fan of the crate just yet and may let you know my feelings about it quite vocally! π But I'm still a baby, and with patience, consistency and positive training, I'm sure I'll learn that being in my own safe space isn't so terrible.
πΆ Still Discovering Who I Am
Because Otis and I are only little puppies, we're still learning about the world β and ourselves! π₯°
Our personalities are only just starting to emerge, so our foster family is getting to know all our little quirks, likes and dislikes as we grow.
What we do know is that we're both happy, playful little boys who love attention, cuddles and having fun. As we continue to experience new things, we'll learn more about the individual little characters we're going to become.
So while I'm still figuring out exactly who Milo is, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be a lot of fun along the way! π
And don't forget about my brother Otis! πΆβ€οΈ
He's just as adorable as I am, although we're a little different in looks. I'm the smaller of the two of us, while Otis has taken a little more after our Staffy mum.
Make sure you click on Otis' bio too β because he is every bit as gorgeous and lovable as me, and you definitely don't want to miss meeting him! π₯ΉπΎ
πΎ A Little Social Butterfly
I LOVE kids! β€οΈ I currently live with children and think they are absolutely fabulous. They are so much fun to play with!
I also have an older foster sister who is teaching me all about being a proper dog β including some very important manners. She is also a fantastic playmate, and I'd love to have another friendly doggy sibling in my forever home.
I'm still learning about the world, so dogs of all sizes and breeds are exciting to me. Everything is new, everything is interesting and basically everything looks like it could be fun! π
I haven't been cat tested yet, but knowing me, I'd probably think a cat was another potential friend and wrestling buddy. I'll need to learn that not every animal necessarily wants to participate in my puppy games! π
π Life With Milo
My favourite place is wherever my humans are.
Why would I possibly want to be somewhere else when there are people to follow around?
At the moment I sleep in a comfy dog bed in the loungeroom, but when I'm older, I'd love to sleep close to my humans. And if I have another doggy friend, I'd be perfectly happy snuggling up with them too.
I'm not allowed out into the big wide world for walkies just yet because I'm still completing my vaccinations, but my foster mum says I'm a quick learner and believes I'll be easy to train with some patience and a pocket full of treats.
My favourite things so far?
πΎ Playing with a ball
π§ Playing with the kids
πΆ Playing with my foster sister
π Treats
π Cuddles
π΄ And, of course, sleeping after I've exhausted myself!
I'm also learning that baths aren't actually the end of the world β and apparently a nice warm towel massage afterwards isn't too bad either! ππ
π‘ Milo's Forever Home
As i am still a very young puppy, my forever family will need to understand that puppies require patience, consistency, training, socialisation and plenty of time.
I would love a home where my humans are around to help me learn and grow, and a friendly, playful resident dog would be a wonderful bonus for me.
I am a little bundle of fun who is just beginning to discover the world β and I know you can't wait to see what a wonderful dog I will grow into. β€οΈ
Me and Otis may have come into rescue together, but we are now ready to discover our own individual adventures and find families to call our very own. πΎπ

Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
