If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate companion who will happily be by your side through just about anything, meet Toby!
Toby is a true companion cat. Whether you’re working from home, cooking dinner, relaxing on the couch or heading off to bed, Toby wants to be right there with you. He loves being part of the action and will happily follow his favourite human around the house just to keep them company.
And when it comes to affection, Toby is an absolute smooch. He’s a wonderful lap cat who loves pats and cuddles, and if he thinks he’s being overlooked, he has a very adorable way of making his feelings known. A gentle head bop or a little nudge against your shoulder is Toby’s way of saying, “Excuse me, I believe I’m due some attention.”
Toby is also one of those rare cats who genuinely enjoys being picked up and held. He’s perfectly happy snuggled up in his human’s arms and seems to think cuddles are one of life’s greatest pleasures.
Despite his playful and cheeky side, Toby is an incredibly gentle boy. He has never shown aggression, bitten or hissed while in foster care, and even having his nails trimmed has been a breeze. He’s friendly, approachable and simply loves being around people.
Like many ginger boys, Toby also has plenty of personality! He’s curious, active and playful, and his inquisitive nature occasionally gets him into a little mischief. You might find him knocking something off a table every now and then - after all, sometimes a ginger boy just needs to investigate! 😸
Toby is currently happily living alongside his foster carer’s resident cat. With a proper, gradual introduction, he should be able to enjoy feline company in his forever home too.
Ultimately, Toby is the kind of cat who makes you feel like you have a little shadow - and a very affectionate one at that. He’s looking for a loving home where his people will appreciate his cuddly nature, playful personality and desire to be involved in everything.

Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
