Cookie

Cookie is a sweet, affectionate young girl looking for a calm and patient home. She can be a little shy and unsure in new situations or when meeting new people, so she will need some extra time to settle in and build confidence. Allowing her to approach new people in her own time and using treats to create positive experiences will help her adjust.

She is very loving once she feels comfortable and forms strong bonds with her people. Cookie is highly food motivated, super smart, and eager to please, already knowing cues such as sit, shake, and drop. Ongoing positive reinforcement training will help her continue to thrive. She can become a little excited and jump up at times, so consistent training that rewards calm behaviour and four paws on the floor is recommended.

Cookie must be an indoor companion and included as part of the family. Due to her sensitive nature, she would be best suited to a home with older children. She may be suitable to live with another friendly dog following a successful meet and greet, as she has shown she can be social and tolerant with appropriate introductions.
