About Pumba
Hi, my name is Pumba! I’m a two-year-old Collie x Kelpie, weighing just 14 kg, so I’m a little smaller than you might expect. What I lack in size, though, I more than make up for in floof, personality and cuteness!
I currently live with two adult humans and two foster siblings. I love playing tug-of-war with my foster sister, but I’m also quite happy entertaining myself with my toys. I enjoy the company of other dogs once I’ve had time to get to know them, although I can be unsure when meeting new dogs and need calm, confident guidance and appropriate introductions. I would love a human who can help build my confidence so that, in time, we can enjoy plenty of outings and adventures together.
I’m extremely attentive, eager to learn and absolutely love one-on-one time with my humans. My ideal home would be with someone who enjoys teaching me new things, taking me places and including me in their everyday life. I travel well in the car and am always excited to see where we’re going next! I am happy to meet all sizes of humans but a busy household with children might be a bit too much for me right now.
It took a little while to adjust to living inside, but I has made wonderful progress. One of my favourite things to do now is relaxing in my indoor bed and I have even discovered how nice it is to cuddle on the couch. I am learning about crate training and working on basic commands such as “sit” and “come.” I thrive during 1:1 time and attention during training and am a very bright, responsive little dog. With consistent training and a loving home, I believe I will continue to grow in confidence and become a wonderfully loyal companion.
Pumba is located in NSW.

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
