About Milo, the Cat Friendly Greyhound
If you are interested in Milo, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form: https://forms.gle/4YdfUixpmWdJ4StT9
Milo is a beautiful, affectionate boy with a wonderfully sweet nature. He loves his pats and cuddles and has the cutest little habit of doing happy hops on his back feet when you give him a pat on the bum. He is a gentle, loving boy who enjoys being part of the family and sharing in whatever his people are doing.
Milo would be happy in either a house or an apartment. He doesn't need lots of outdoor space and is quite content finding a comfy bed for a snooze. He has spent time with other Greyhounds and gets along well with them, and he has also been respectful around cats. He has previously been left home alone with other Greyhounds for extended periods without any issues.
He is an absolute dream on the lead and walks beautifully. He is also comfortable around loud noises and hasn't shown any concerns with busy surroundings. He is reliably toilet trained and comfortably holds on throughout the night.
Milo was adopted and had the chance to experience life as a much-loved pet, but unfortunately things didn't work out with his family and he has returned to our care. We now have a much better understanding of his individual needs and are confident that his sleep startles, which are a temporary and brief moment of fear when he is suddenly woken, can be managed successfully with the right approach.
His new family will simply need to be mindful when he is sleeping and give him the space he needs to wake up calmly. An experienced Greyhound or dog home would be a great fit, particularly for someone who understands that these brief moments are not reflective of Milo's lovely personality when he is awake and settled.
Milo is ready for his next chapter and we would love to see this sweet boy find the family who will give him the understanding, patience and affection he deserves.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
