🐕 Meet Heen – The Little Dog with a Big Voice ❤️
Heen is a very vocal little guy with plenty of character. When a stranger approaches, he can bark loudly to announce their arrival. His unusual, hoarse growling sounds can be quite intimidating at first, especially because they come from such a cute little face! 😂
But don't be fooled by the noise — Heen is all sound and no trouble.
Heen is incredibly loyal to his person and has a strong protective instinct. If he thinks his human is in danger or something isn’t right, he may step in to defend you. For example, if you’re playing roughly with another dog, Heen may intervene because he believes his person needs protecting. He takes his job as your little bodyguard very seriously! ❤️
One very important thing to know about Heen: he absolutely hates being put on his back. He becomes uncomfortable when handled or flipped onto his back, so his boundaries need to be respected. His new family should never force him into a position he is uncomfortable with and should allow him to feel safe and secure.
He isn't a fussy eater either! He even enjoys fruit and vegetables — this little guy is definitely into healthy eating! 🍎🥕🥦😂
🩺 Medical & Ongoing Care
Heen is currently being treated for itchy skin and requires ongoing treatment:
💊 Prednisolone – ½ tablet daily
🛁 Malaseb bath – once a week
His new family will need to be committed to continuing this treatment and following veterinary advice to help keep his skin comfortable and healthy.
Because of his medication, Heen needs to urinate more frequently. He therefore needs free access in and out of the house, so he can go outside whenever he needs to.
💔 Heen's Story
Heen's story is heartbreaking.
His previous owner decided to dye his fur pink because they thought it would look cute. Unfortunately, the dye caused severe chemical burns to his skin.
Despite everything he has been through, Heen is still a loving little dog who wants to trust and be loved. ❤️
🏡 The Perfect Home
Heen needs a loving family who will appreciate his quirky personality, respect his boundaries and commit to his ongoing skin care.
He would suit a home with a secure yard and easy access in and out of the house. His new family should understand that he is a vocal little dog and may bark loudly when strangers arrive.
Most importantly, Heen needs someone who will love him for exactly who he is — funny, loyal, protective, wonderfully quirky and very, very cute. ❤️
He may have the voice of a tiny, grumpy old man, but underneath all those funny noises is a little dog who just wants to feel safe, loved and part of a family. 🐾❤️
