Hello there, I think it’s finally time I introduced myself properly! I’m Vincenzo. You may have seen me on social media when I first arrived in foster care. Back then I was a very frightened boy, trying my hardest to be brave in a world that felt overwhelming. Since then I have made incredible progress and now I’m ready for my next big adventure and that is finding a forever family of my own.

I’ve grown to love my foster family and the safe, gentle life they have shown me. They have taught me that people can be kind, that I can take things at my own pace and that I don’t have to be scared all the time (but it’s okay when I am). The nervous, heavily medicated boy who first arrived has slowly blossomed into a much happier doggo and I finally feel like I can simply be myself.

These days I enjoy playing with the other dogs, racing around the yard doing zoomies and have discovered my love for toys. I love chewing them, tossing them in the air and even cuddling up with them when it’s time to rest. Walks are slowly becoming another favourite activity although I can still be a little unsure of the outside world and will need a patient family who understands that confidence takes time.

While I’ve become much braver, I’m still most comfortable in a calm and predictable environment. Young children with their fast movements and loud noises can make me anxious so I’m looking for an adult only home where I can truly relax and feel safe.

A friendly doggy companion is very important to me. Other dogs help me feel secure, show me the ropes and keep me company when the humans are busy. I’m quite happy being left at home especially if I have a doggy friend by my side. Honestly, I’m a pretty easy going guy just give me a cosy bed for a nap or a yard for a quick zoomie session with my furry friend and I’m content.
