About Little Gee
Meet Little Gee š¾
3 years old | Cattle Dog x Pug | Approx. 16kg
Little Gee has found his way to Fetching Dogs, and weāre so glad we can now help him find his forever home.
We first became connected to Geeās family when his mum had an accidental litter. We brought his littermates into rescue and had Mum desexed to ensure there were no more unexpected litters. Gee had already been rehomed before his siblings came into our care, but three years later, circumstances have changed and this little guy now needs our help too.
Gee is currently around 16kg, although we think his ideal weight will be closer to 15kg once he sheds a little extra padding. He does love his food! Thankfully, he loves his walks just as much and will regularly stand at the door giving you a not-so-subtle hint that itās time to head out.
Gee has a lovely, calm demeanour and is polite and easy on lead. He travels quietly in a car crate, is crate trained and sleeps peacefully in his crate overnight. Heās also shown that he can handle busy days out well. He recently spent the day at a lure coursing trial and happily headed off with a friend for an hour-long walk around the grounds without any trouble.
Once Gee settles in, his personality really starts to shine. He gets incredibly excited when itās time to go outside, play or head off for a walk, turning into the cutest little wiggle bum. Itās hard not to smile when heās that happy!
Heās a quick learner and very biddable. Gee responds well to his name and your tone of voice and genuinely seems to want to work out what youāre asking of him and get it right. His toilet training is also coming along nicely, and with a consistent routine in his new home we expect him to continue making great progress.
Gee likes being near his humans without needing to be on top of them. Heās quite content curling up beside you and enjoying your company. He doesnāt tend to jump all over people, although donāt let those little legs fool you ā heās surprisingly athletic and can jump quite high!
With other dogs, Gee does best with calm, respectful companions. He is comfortable with dogs around his size and has shown that, given a little time, he can adjust and build relationships well. Bigger or overly enthusiastic dogs can make him unsure, but just needs an owner to build a bit of confidence or exposure in this area. Heās not looking for a canine friend who wants to be constantly in his face, so a calm, socially appropriate dog would be the best match.
Cats were clearly a strange concept for Gee initially! His preference has been to avoid them rather than chase or confront them, and with continued exposure he is now managing their presence without aggression or chasing.
Gee is a sweet, sensible little character who will suit someone looking for a dog who enjoys getting out for his daily adventures but can come home, settle down and simply enjoy being part of the family.
We think Little Gee will make an incredibly loyal and steadfast companion ā with a little wiggle bum capable of putting a smile on your face after even the hardest day.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
