If Sheldon is our little thinker, then Georgie is definitely his much quieter little brother. 🐾
Georgie is a very, very shy boy. While his brother Sheldon is slowly learning that people can be trusted, Georgie is still taking his time and watching the world from a safe distance.
He's not going to be the cat who runs straight up to you demanding cuddles. In fact, when he first meets you, you may wonder if he's even there! 😂 But that's okay — Georgie needs time.
He needs someone who understands that confidence can't be rushed. Someone who will quietly sit with him, talk to him, offer gentle encouragement and let him decide when he's ready to take that next little step.
And those little steps will mean everything. ❤️
Every time Georgie comes a little closer, stays out a little longer or decides that you're not quite as scary as he first thought, you'll know you're earning his trust.
We're looking for a very special person for Georgie — someone with patience, understanding and plenty of love who will allow this gorgeous boy to grow in confidence at his own pace.
Georgie may take longer than most to show you his personality, but we believe there is a beautiful little character hiding underneath all that shyness, just waiting for the right person to discover him. 🥰
And of course, having his brother Sheldon nearby might just help him along the way.
Georgie isn't looking for someone who expects an instant friendship. He's looking for someone who is willing to build one. 💙

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
