Galaxy

Meet Galaxy, our beautiful 3 year old torbie and white female domestic shorthair.

Galaxy was found dumped with poor skin and coat condition and smelling like urine. She was initially difficult to handle and there were concerns she might become a sanctuary cat due to her undesirable behavior. Her first carer had several other foster and sanctuary cats and Galaxy did not cohabitate well with these other cats, so she was transferred to another foster carer who did not have any other cats.

After a couple of weeks in her new foster home, she has since become a very loving, loyal and affectionate cat with a very sweet and charming personality.

She is never too far away from her foster carer and follows him from room to room around the house, even sleeping under the bed sheets on occasion. She loves getting gentle pats and rubs all over her body and she tends to wag her tail like a dog. She can also be a bit of a lap cat.

When she is bored and wants a bit of attention or affection, she will quietly approach and let out a little meow which is her way to let you know that she wants some pats.

Galaxy is a classy lady and keeps herself clean and well maintained, using her litter trays very reliably and grazing on her food responsibly throughout the day, preferring fresh wet food or dry food. One of her favourite treats is Churu Bites Tuna & Salmon flavour.

She hasn't shown much interest in cat towers or any of the toys in her foster home, she is too classy and mature for those, she prefers sitting on the lounge or bed and is content with being part of the household and being able to be around her humans.

One of her best qualities is her loyal personality and her desire to want to form a genuine bond with her carer(s).

Since arriving into her second foster home and spending time to decompress and socialise one on one, she has subsequently been reintroduced to other calm and quiet cats, however she seems to enjoy the company of people more than other cats and will likely reach her maximum potential by being the only cat in the household.

She would prefer a household which is on the quieter and calmer side, and would be well suited to a single person or a couple, potentially also a family with calm children.
