Nala, 5 year Jack Russell Terrier mix. This delightful little girl is very gentle, affectionate and playful. She adores people and loves to play with toys and go for walks. 🌞

💝 About Nala.
• Loves snuggling up to you and just being with you.
• She looks forward to one or two daily walks and walks nicely on lead.
• Loves toys: playing fetch and tug-of-war and getting the squeakers out!
• Enjoys chewing on long lasting dog chews such as cow hooves, tendons, etc. She doesn’t chew anything she’s not supposed to though.
• Gets along great with the other dogs she lives with, even when one of them isn’t nice to her. She tries to play with them. She’d love a dog playmate but it’s not required if there is a person home a lot.
• She’s an indoor dog.
• Housetraining is a work in progress. She uses a doggy door but needs to be taken out regularly throughout the day.
• Sleeps through the night without needing to go out.
• Will let you know when people walk past but isn’t a nuisance barker.
• She is small, weighing only 5kgs.
• Has an easy care coat that just requires a little brushing and bathing now and again.

🏡 Nala’s ideal home:
• She’s fine home alone for a several hours a day but we’d prefer a home where there is someone home a lot.
• She can be an only dog or will be very happy to live with other dogs.
• School age and older children are good. She’s not nippy at all and she’d be happy to have a child who will play with her!
• She needs a backyard to run and play in so, sorry, no apartments.
• She hasn’t been tested with cats or pocket pets.
• Her new person(s) will be understanding and gentle and will continue her housetraining, take her for walks and provide plenty of toys and lap time.

Nala was picked up as a stray and was taken to a pound. She only spent one night there before Dog Rescue Newcastle rescued her. She had red, itchy skin but now she’s on medication which has healed it and she’s fully recovered. She is very healthy, happy and ready for her wonderful, new forever home!

Nala needs to remain on medication to treat an allergy which gives her itchy skin. She gets one tiny tablet each day which costs only $0.73 per day = $22 per month = $267 per year. She will come with at least a two month supply of her tablets.

🐶 Nala is an absolute darling and is looking for a loving forever home. In return, she’ll give you her whole heart and be your most devoted companion.

👉 Nala is in foster care in Charlestown, NSW (Lake Macquarie). She is available for adoption to NSW and ACT. Her adoption fee is $700 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and registered.
