About Diego
Hello, I'm Diego. I'm a three-year-old with a slow wag and a heart that loves a steady, comforting routine. I’m the kind of quiet friend who notices the way the light shifts across the floor and finds warmth in a sunbeam by the window. I move with patient, thoughtful grace, and I breathe in the world rather than sprint for it. My calm exterior hides a curious, hopeful spirit that's ready to trust the right person and grow at my own pace. I’m selective about other dogs—I may choose inhibition or avoidance when they’re near, though I’ve shown polite curiosity by approaching and briefly sniffing. I wouldn’t be happy at off-leash dog parks or in high-traffic, busy beaches. I should avoid homes with cats or small pets, and I must have secure outdoor access—an enclosed yard or an area attached to the home is ideal for my outdoor time. My energy is moderate, so I’m happiest with a routine that includes gentle exploration and plenty of quiet moments, with time and encouragement in new surroundings rather than a whirlwind of change. The kind of home that fits me best is one with a family who understands my pace: children aged 6 years and older, and a calm environment where I can settle in gradually. I thrive with predictable, patient companionship and walks that stay in quiet, low-traffic areas as I learn to trust. If there’s another dog in the home, introductions should be supervised and gradual. I may form bonds slowly, so a household that offers time to connect and a secure outdoor space would help me feel safe and happy. Would you like to meet me? I promise a soft sigh when you sit with me and a slow blink of trust as we settle into the same chair. If you have space and time for a thoughtful, moderate-energy companion who needs a little help coming out of his shell, I’d love to meet you. Come say hello and see if we click.
