🐾🐶 MEET AMBER – PROFESSIONAL SHADOW, PART-TIME SECURITY GUARD & FULL-TIME FRENCHIE 🐶🐾

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Amber, and I thought it was about time I introduced myself properly because apparently finding my forever family requires more than just being ridiculously cute. Personally, I think my face should be enough, but humans like details. 🙄😂

So, here goes…

I am a 6 years and 9 month old French bulldog (aka potato!)

🏠 HOUSE RULES – I’VE GOT THEM SORTED
I’m toilet trained, doggy-door trained AND crate trained. Yep, I’m basically a fully qualified household member.

That said, if there’s a comfy couch available, I’m obviously going to question why anyone would expect me to choose anything else.

My preferred sleeping location is wherever it’s comfortable – my bed, the couch, or preferably somewhere close enough to my humans that I can keep tabs on everything they’re doing.

Personal space? Never heard of her. 🤷‍♀️

🐾 MY ENERGY LEVEL
I’m what you might call a low-energy lady.

I enjoy short daily walks, little adventures and getting out to see the world, but please pay attention to the word SHORT.

I’m a French Bulldog, not an endurance athlete.

If you decide we’re suddenly hiking the Himalayas, I hope you’ve been working on your upper-body strength because, lets face it, you will be carrying me most of the way. 😂

I’m good on lead and very happy to accompany you on a leisurely stroll before returning home for my regularly scheduled lounging.

📢 SECURITY SERVICES INCLUDED
Generally, I’m a pretty quiet girl.

However, I have appointed myself Head of Neighbourhood Surveillance, so if I see someone walking down the street or hear a suspicious noise, I may feel obligated to alert the household (that may last 10 seconds)

🐶 OTHER DOGS
I LOVE my doggy friends!

I’m currently living with other French Bulldogs and other breeds, and I’ve also lived with a British Bulldog who is about twice my size. I get along wonderfully with dogs of different sizes and personalities.

I’m currently mentoring a French Bulldog pup who loves to play, wrestle and occasionally bite at me. I’m teaching her manners in my calm and gentle way… and if that doesn’t work, I’ll just lay on her! 😂

I’m really good with dogs of all ages.

I enjoy having canine company, but I’m also a confident little lady and can happily entertain myself.

Basically, I’m adaptable – give me doggy friends and I’m happy. Give me all the human attention instead and… well… I’m also happy. 😏

👧 KIDS & CATS
Kids? I am great with kids of all ages and energy levels and have even been known to lay on them if they’re lying down.

I may be a small potato, but I can do dead weight very easily! 😂

Cats? Unknown.

🐔 CHICKENS, HOWEVER…
Look, I can behave myself when supervised.

But if nobody’s watching and a chicken starts running, I cannot be held responsible for my Frenchie brain suggesting that a little game of chase might be fun. 😂

❤️ MY HUMANS
This is where I really shine.

I LOVE being with my people.

Cooking dinner? I’ll supervise.

Watching TV? Move over.

Going to the bathroom? Excellent, we’re going together.

Walking from one room to another for absolutely no reason? Don’t worry, I’m coming too.

I’m an independent woman… who also happens to believe I should know exactly where you are and what you’re doing at all times.

Think of me less as a clingy dog and more as your very cute, four-legged personal assistant.

🥩 WHAT MOTIVATES ME?
Treats.
Affection.
Praise.

All excellent options.

But please remember that I am, in fact, a Frenchie.

So while these things may strongly increase your chances of cooperation, ultimately I reserve the right to consider your request and decide whether it aligns with my personal goals at that particular moment. 😂

💅 BEAUTY MAINTENANCE
Thankfully, maintaining this level of gorgeousness is surprisingly easy.

I’m very good for grooming, ear cleans and nail trims, so keeping me looking fabulous isn’t a battle.

✨ THE IMPORTANT STUFF
Underneath all my Frenchie sass, I’m a beautiful, affectionate girl with a lovely balance of confidence and devotion.

I adore people, get along wonderfully with other dogs and settle easily into home life.

I can enjoy my independence, but given the choice, I’d much rather be right beside my humans – preferably receiving cuddles while making sure I’m not missing anything important.

If your idea of the perfect companion is a girl who enjoys short walks, little adventures, lots of lounging, plenty of cuddles and following you around like your tiny four-legged security detail, I think we should talk.
