About Dumbo
Dumbo might be the smallest and boy in the litter but he certainly has the biggest voice. He loves to be included in what you're doing so will seek you out, even if he shouldn't be out! He's full of cheeky and personality and is a favourite amongst the kids. Dumbo is a little explorer, always trying to suss out new things, but if he gets in a pickle you'll certainly know about it!
Dumbo's Mum gave birth to him at a construction site she used to visit daily. Once he was born, she scooped him up in her mouth and ran off to hide in some bushes to birth 6 more puppies. The next day she rocked up to the construction site like nothing had happened, grabbed her free feed, had a play and then left. This continued for 3.5 weeks until someone found her puppies! Since then they've been living in a foster home with plenty of food, warm cozy beds and more love and cuddle than they ever could've imagined. If you'd like to read their full story you can find it on our Facebook page - SAFE Hedland.
Their Mum spent her life roaming the streets, without a family of her own, but thankfully her puppies will never have to endure that. They've been raised in a home with 4 young children so are used to being surrounded by chaos and constant cuddles.
Dumbo has started toilet training and when kept in a smaller area he'll choose the puppy pads over the blankets, but in a larger space it's too hard to find his way back in time, so he'll need plenty more practice. He loves treats and will easily follow your hand to sit so with some patience he'll figure that out quickly, plus much more! We'd love him to join a home that will be committed to setting him up for success in the future and make sure he is well socialised and trained from puppyhood.
If you'd like to meet Dumbo please send through an application and we can arrange it. If you're not local we can set up a phonecall instead.
