MEET HEIDI — PROFESSIONAL SNUGGLE BUG & CERTIFIED SNACK-A-HOLIC Heidi’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. She came into our care from a regional pound with heartworm disease, but despite everything she has been through, she remains an exceptionally gentle, affectionate girl with a huge heart and an even bigger love for cuddles. Heidi is house trained, crate trained, kid friendly and can be great with other dogs after a proper, respectful introduction. This gorgeous girl is a self-confessed snack-a-holic, giant lap dog and all-round snuggle bug. If Heidi decides she needs a little extra love, she’ll politely let you know by raising her paw to request a lap sit, belly rub or cuddle — and really, who could say no to that? Heidi has a fun, energetic and curious side too. She loves exploring with her humans, getting out and about and enjoying playtime with her foster sister. She’s still learning that walks happen at human pace, not Heidi pace, and that mealtimes are much more enjoyable when you remember to breathe between mouthfuls! Once inside, Heidi switches beautifully into relaxation mode. She is quiet and calm indoors and absolutely loves having a big, fluffy, snuggly bed to curl up in. She’s also happy to spend time on her own while you’re at work, making her a wonderful companion for a household that can’t be home all day. And when you walk back through the door? Expect one of Heidi’s adorable toothy grins to welcome you home. After coming from a regional pound and facing heartworm disease, Heidi deserves the very best next chapter — one filled with adventures, fluffy beds, plenty of snacks and, most importantly, a family of her very own. Heidi really is the whole package — gentle, funny, affectionate, playful and incredibly loving. If your idea of the perfect dog is an adventure buddy by day and an oversized lap dog by night, Heidi might just be your girl.
A Few Important Things to Know • Interstate adoption is available at the adopter's expense. Please contact us for a transport quote. Puppies under 12 weeks of age are unable to fly and will remain in foster care until they have completed their veterinary work and are old enough to travel. • Breed and adult size: As a rescue organisation, we cannot always guarantee a dog's breed mix or their expected adult size. • Medical conditions: Any known medical conditions or ongoing care requirements will always be clearly outlined in the dog's adoption profile. • Veterinary care: All puppies and dogs are adopted with proof of their completed veterinary work. • Making an enquiry: When submitting an enquiry, please include a little information about yourself, your location, and your contact details. This allows us to pass your enquiry on to the foster carer, who will contact you if they believe the dog may be a suitable match. • If you are renting: Please include a copy of your current lease agreement or written approval from your landlord confirming that pets are permitted at the property. This will assist us in processing your application.
