Sugababe is a beautiful black smoke tabby girl who is looking for a very special home where she can take the time she needs to feel safe and learn that people can be trusted.

This little girl is currently very scared and shy, and the world can feel like a pretty overwhelming place for her. She isn't going to be the kitten who immediately runs up to greet you or settles into your lap - instead, she will need an experienced and patient owner who understands that building trust takes time.

Sugababe will need the opportunity to decompress and settle at her own pace. Her new family will need to be prepared for the possibility that she may hide or keep her distance initially, and understand that this isn't a reflection of her personality or her ability to bond. With patience, consistency and gentle interactions, she can gradually learn that her new home is a safe place and that the people around her can be trusted.

For Sugababe, a quiet, calm home without small children is essential. The hustle and bustle of a busy household, loud noises and lots of activity would likely be far too overwhelming for this sensitive girl. She needs a peaceful environment where she can have a safe space to retreat to and the freedom to come out when she feels ready.

Her ideal adopter will be someone who understands shy and fearful cats and is prepared to celebrate the small milestones - the first time she stays in the room, the first time she approaches you, and eventually the first time she seeks out affection.
