Meet Alice, a 14-year-old little lady who is quite simply the definition of a sweetheart.

She is incredibly affectionate, deeply loving, and utterly devoted to people.

The very second she stepped out of her cat carrier she was already pressing her soft little face against her foster mum for head boops, purring like a tiny motor and looking up with the most trusting eyes. Within minutes she had claimed a warm spot on a lap, curled herself into the coziest loaf, and made it very clear that this was exactly where she belonged.

Alice doesn’t just like people, she adores them, and she has a quiet, gentle way of showing it that melts hearts on the spot.

She is the living embodiment of pure sweetness: soft, patient, and endlessly endearing. There is nothing pushy or demanding about her; she simply wants to be near her person, offering soft head butts, slow blinks, and the kind of calm, steady affection that makes the whole room feel warmer.

She will happily follow you from room to room just to stay close, then settle contentedly on your lap or beside you for as long as you’ll let her.

Alice is the sort of cat who makes ordinary moments feel special, the quiet evenings, the morning cups of tea, the lazy afternoons, all of them improved by the soft weight of a little senior girl who thinks you are the best thing in the world.

Alice came to us from an Animal Aid shelter, where this gentle soul was really struggling with the constant noise and busyness. The dedicated team there could see that she needed somewhere quieter and calmer to truly blossom, and they reached out for help.

As luck would have it, our resident expert senior-cat foster carer had just become available, and within 48 hours Alice was safely in our care. She settled almost immediately, proving once again that all she ever needed was a peaceful home and a kind person to love.

Alice would be the absolute perfect companion for a retiree or anyone who dreams of having an incredibly loving little lady to sit on their knee all day long. She thrives on quiet companionship and will repay every bit of kindness with soft purrs, gentle head butts, and the most contented little face you can imagine.

She does have blocked tear ducts in both eyes, so her new person will just need to give her eyes a gentle wipe once a day to keep any gunk from building up, a small, simple act of care that takes only a moment. Apart from that, she is an incredibly healthy, bright-eyed, loving little lady ready to fill a home with warmth and quiet joy.

Alice is 14 years old, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and located with her amazing foster mum in Berwick.

About Us

Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.

Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.

Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.

As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.

Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
