About Miss Sassy Pants
Meet Miss Sassy Pants, a beautiful 12-year-old female fluffy torbie with a soft, multi-coloured coat and a personality that is every bit as special as her name suggests.
She is the perfect blend of independence and deep affection, a low-maintenance companion who still offers plenty of love when the moment is right.
Sassy’s story begins with an older gentleman who adored her, but who sadly had to move into aged care and was unable to take her with him. A kind neighbour stepped up and welcomed Sassy into their home, giving her a second chance. For thirteen months they tried hard to make it work, but Sassy and the other female cat in the household simply could not get along.
With a heavy heart, her current person has reached out for help finding her a more suitable forever home where she can truly thrive.
This gorgeous girl is an endearing mix of very independent and incredibly affectionate. She is more than happy to hang out and do her own thing, content in her own company, yet when she is in the mood for attention she expects (and thoroughly enjoys) lots of pats and cuddles.
She can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once she has had a chance to settle she becomes wonderfully loving. In her foster home she settled in remarkably quickly for an older cat and was already keen for pats and cuddles from her new foster family almost straight away.
Check out a video of her checking out her foster home on our socials here:

She really is the ideal combination of independent and loving, low maintenance, yet a genuine bundle of joy.
Sassy would be a wonderful fit for anyone searching for a calm, affectionate senior companion. She is best suited to a quiet and peaceful household where she can feel secure. Older children are fine, but young children are not appropriate. Miss Sassy Pants is not afraid to tell you when she has had enough, and little ones often struggle to recognize those important body language cues.
She does not like female cats at all and should not be placed with one. She seems perfectly comfortable with relaxed male cats, and she has not yet been tested with dogs.
Miss Sassy Pants is 12 years old, has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is located with her amazing foster family in Glen Waverley.
If you are looking for a beautiful older girl who will bring quiet companionship, occasional bursts of pure affection, and a whole lot of gentle personality into your life, Miss Sassy Pants may be the perfect match. Please get in touch if you would like to learn more or arrange a meet-and-greet.
About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
How You Can Help
As a small, independent rescue, we depend entirely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters and animal lovers like you. We’d also love to connect with you on social media:

Following and sharing our pages helps us reach more potential adopters and supporters. If we can grow our audience, we’ll be able to generate a small ongoing income to sustain and expand the rescue.
We are always in need of foster carers. If you have a safe, loving temporary home and would like to help us care for a cat on their journey to their forever family, please get in touch. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can save.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about Urban Feline Australia.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
