Miss Sassy Pants

Meet Her Royal Highness Miss Sassy Pants, a beautiful 12-year-old fluffy torbie princess with a soft, multi-coloured coat and the unmistakable air of a cat who knows she was born to rule.

This seriously sassy little princess is looking for her own castle - a peaceful home where she can reign supreme, complete with a small staff of devoted human servants ready to wait on her every beck and call. Pats and cuddles are to be provided promptly when she is in the mood (and respectfully paused the moment she decides she’s had enough).

Sassy’s story began with an older gentleman who adored her, but who sadly had to move into aged care and could not take her with him. A kind neighbor stepped in and gave her a second chance. For thirteen months they tried hard to make it work, but Sassy and the other female cat in the household simply could not share the same kingdom. With a heavy heart, her current person has asked us to help find her a more suitable forever home - one where she can finally be the undisputed star of the show.

And star she most certainly is. Since arriving in foster care, Miss Sassy Pants has become much more confident and has well and truly settled in.

She has made herself part of the family, thoroughly sussed out every prime napping location, claimed the best sunny spots by the windows, and systematically tested all the available laps until she found her favourites. Her foster family describe her as “an elegant and poised lady who loves to sit beside us and who’s generally a calm and gentle soul… although she can get a bit grumpy when my younger one gets too affectionate.”

In other words, she is living up to her name with absolute style.

Miss Sassy Pants is the perfect blend of independence and selective affection. She is perfectly content doing her own royal thing for large parts of the day, yet when the mood strikes she expects (and thoroughly enjoys) plenty of gentle attention. She can be a little reserved when first meeting new subjects, but once she has decided you are worthy she becomes wonderfully loving.

She would be best suited to a quiet, peaceful household where she can feel secure in her castle. Older children are fine; young children are not appropriate, as this elegant lady is not afraid to issue a royal reprimand when she has had enough. She does not get along with female cats and should not be placed with one. She seems comfortable with relaxed male cats, and has not yet been tested with dogs.

Miss Sassy Pants is 12 years old, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and currently living with her foster family in Glen Waverley.

About Us

Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.

Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.

Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.

As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.

Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
