Hey there, future best friend! My name is Garfield, and I'm a gentle soul looking for my forever home. I was originally found wandering around Lynbrook as a stray, but thanks to the wonderful team at The Lost Dogs Home and a fantastic foster family, I've had time to rest, recharge, and learn just how sweet the indoor life can be. Now that I'm fully ready for my next chapter, I'm hoping to find a loving home to call my own.

I'll be honest with you, I can be a little shy when meeting new people or stepping into new environments. Loud sounds and big crowds aren't really my thing, but winning me over is surprisingly easy! If you offer me a few gentle chin scratches and a couple of tasty treats, I warm up in no time. Once I know I'm safe, my sweet, affectionate personality comes shining right through.

Being in a cozy foster home showed everyone just how wonderful I am, but busy shelter environments are really tough on sensitive guys like me. That's why I need to find my forever family as soon as possible, so I can skip the shelter stress and get back to relaxing on a soft couch. The great news is that I'm in generally very good health, vet-checked, and completely ready to head home with you.
