At just 18 months old, beautiful Godiva is still learning that the world isn't quite as scary as it sometimes seems.

The shelter is simply a lot for this timid girl. With all the noise, unfamiliar smells, people and activity around her, Godiva can find it difficult to show the wonderful cat she has underneath those nerves. But spend a little quiet time with her and you'll discover something very special, Godiva absolutely loves a good head scratch.

Godiva is part of our Scared Cat Program, which means she has already started her journey towards becoming a more confident cat. Now, she's looking for someone willing to continue that good work with her at home.

Her new family doesn't need to rush her. In fact, the opposite is true. Give Godiva her own little safe space when she first arrives, let her settle in at her own pace, and allow her to decide when she's ready to venture further. Delicious treats, gentle play, quiet company and plenty of patience will help her learn that her new home is a safe and happy place.

And then, one day, you'll realise she's coming out to find you.

You'll see her confidence grow. You'll discover what makes her purr, what toys she loves and where her favourite sleeping spot is. You'll watch a timid shelter cat slowly transform into a comfortable, happy companion.

Taking on a Scared Cat Program cat isn't about expecting an instant lap cat. It's about giving them the chance to become one.

Godiva needs someone who can see the potential in her, give her time, and celebrate the little victories along the way. If you're prepared to be patient and let this sweet girl find her feet, she could be a truly rewarding addition to your family.
