About Rusty
Rusty is a sweet boy he finds changes a little overwhelming and benefits from a predictable routine. His biggest motivator is gentle consent-based interactions. He has shown limited interest in treats but will seek people out for gentle strokes around his face. In this environment he is a little nervous around toys but may become more playful in a home environment. He needs an understanding family that will help support his transition into the home and allow him the time and set up he needs to adjust.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
