Tansy

Tansy may have arrived as a stray, but this sweet little girl certainly seems to know how to make herself at home with people.

She can be a little unsure during that first hello, but it doesn't take long for her friendly side to appear. Soon she's rubbing against you, leaning into pats, chirping away, and even climbing onto your lap for a purr. Add a tasty treat into the equation and making friends with Tansy becomes even easier. She has also been known to get those little paws kneading when she's feeling particularly happy and comfortable.

Tansy is an affectionate girl who really enjoys human company, but she can sometimes get a little excited when there's lots of attention. Keeping interactions gentle and giving her little breaks when she needs them will help keep everything relaxed and enjoyable. She's also a foodie at heart, so treats may come in very handy when building that special bond.

Tansy is looking to be the only cat in her new home, which just means she gets to keep all the attention, cosy spots, and treats for herself. At just 1 year old, she has so much companionship ahead of her and would love a home where she can settle in, find her favourite lap, and finally have people to call her own.

We encourage you to come and meet Tansy at our North Melbourne shelter as soon as possible, as our cats cannot be placed on hold. If chirps, purrs, lap cuddles, and a little bit of personality sound like your kind of cat, Tansy could be your girl.
