Opie – Your Adventure Buddy, Shadow & Best Mate
If your idea of the perfect dog is one who’ll join you for a beach day, chase a ball until your arm gets tired, then curl up beside you for cuddles afterwards, Opie might just be your guy.
Opie is a Blue Heeler cross with a huge love for life and an even bigger love for his people. Affectionate, playful and endlessly curious, he’s happiest when he’s right in the middle of whatever his family is doing. Whether you’re heading out on an adventure or wandering from one room to another at home, you can expect Opie to be following close behind.
This clever little guy loves getting out and about. Walks, trips to the dog park, beach adventures and swimming are all firmly on his list of favourite things. He’s also great in the car and comfortable on longer drives, making him a wonderful companion for a family who loves taking their dog along for the ride.
At home, Opie is just as enthusiastic about playtime. He loves his toys, especially when there’s a human on the other end, and a good game of catch with a ball or favourite toy is an easy way to win his heart. Being a smart and active boy, Opie will thrive with a family who can keep both his body and his busy brain engaged.
But underneath all that Heeler energy is a seriously affectionate little soul. Opie adores people, loves children and is always ready to collect his share of cuddles and kisses. He loves being close to his humans and would be happiest in a home where he can truly be part of the family rather than watching life happen from the sidelines.
Opie also loves the company of other dogs and enjoys socialising with his canine friends. Cats, however, are not his cup of tea, so Opie is looking for a cat-free home.
And don’t let those shorter legs fool you. Opie can jump. He may be compact, but apparently nobody informed him that gravity was supposed to apply to him.
