Sunday (Located in Thornbury)

Somewhere out there is the person Sunday has been waiting for.

On September 1st, this beautiful girl will turn 12. And while we can't ask Sunday what she wishes for on her birthday, we have a pretty good idea.

She wants a person of her very own.

Someone whose lap she can curl up on. Someone who will let her sleep beside them at night. Someone who will understand that when she quietly meows from her favourite high spot as they walk past, she's really saying, "Come here. I need a head bump."

Sunday is an incredibly affectionate girl. She follows her people from room to room, wanting to be wherever they are. And one of her sweetest little habits is listening for the moment you sit down on the couch. Almost immediately, Sunday appears and climbs onto your lap, ready for cuddles.

These are the little moments that make Sunday so incredibly special. At almost 12, Sunday isn't looking for a busy household or a home filled with other animals. She is looking for something much simpler — a quiet, loving home where she can be someone's one and only.

Sunday is confident, affectionate and full of personality. She loves toys, travelling in the car and sleeping on the bed with her humans. She has lived with children and is very well behaved when she visits the vet. She is an indoor-only girl and has an established feeding routine, including an automatic feeder and some sensible rules around food.

But more than anything, Sunday wants connection.
She wants to be the cat who greets you from the couch.
The cat who follows you down the hallway. The cat who climbs onto your lap because she knows she's safe there. The cat who sleeps beside you at night.

She has spent nearly 12 years becoming the beautiful girl she is, and we would love nothing more than to see her spend her senior years knowing that it's her forever home.

Sunday doesn't need a perfect home. She just needs the right one.A home where she can be the only pet. A home where there is plenty of love to go around. A home where someone will look at this gorgeous senior girl and think, "You're exactly who I've been waiting for."

Perhaps this September, Sunday won't just celebrate another birthday. Hopefully she'll celebrate the beginning of her forever with you.
