About Zula
Zula likes to take a moment to work you out, but gentle pats are a pretty good way to convince her you're a friend.
This sweet girl can be a little timid when you first meet her and may prefer to quietly observe before getting involved. Give her a calm approach and some gentle affection, though, and you'll start to see her soften. What begins as cautious curiosity soon turns into enjoying pats, and it's lovely watching her realise that having a little fuss actually feels pretty good.
Zula isn't a cat who needs to be rushed. She'll appreciate someone who lets her settle into a new home at her own pace and gives her plenty of opportunities to build confidence. Shelter life can feel overwhelming for some cats, and we're excited to see more of Zula's personality come through once she has a quieter, familiar space to call her own. Her beautiful long coat will also need regular brushing to keep it healthy and comfortable.
If you have a soft spot for gentle cats and don't mind giving them a little time to find their feet, Zula could be a very special companion. We encourage you to come and meet Zula at our North Melbourne shelter as soon as possible, as our cats cannot be placed on hold. Sometimes all a shy girl needs is the right person and a few really good pats.
