🌶️👑 Meet Scary Spice (aka Mel Bee!) 🐾
Meet Scary Spice, affectionately known as Mel Bee — a gorgeous, soft-furred diva with a BIG personality, even bigger opinions, and absolutely no hesitation about sharing them! 😂💅
Mel Bee is an incredibly intelligent girl who knows exactly what she wants — and she expects you to know too! 👀 She’s a little bossy… okay, VERY bossy… but honestly, she’s just a girl who knows her worth. 👑 If you’re taking too long to fulfil her wishes, she’ll make sure you hear about it with a very dramatic yell! 📣😂
She does best with someone who understands that she has boundaries and opinions and is happy to respect them. She can become overstimulated with too much patting, but she’s wonderfully communicative and will let you know when she’s had enough. 🐾💕
But underneath all that sass is an absolute sweetheart who loves attention and affection. 🥹 She especially enjoys a good night-time cuddle, and when she’s really loving a scratch, she’ll dramatically flop herself right into you like she’s starring in her own soap opera. 😂🛏️💗
And her fur?! THE SOFTEST. 😭✨ Gentle pats are very much encouraged — for Mel Bee and her lucky humans!
Mel Bee is also dog-friendly, but she’s looking for a home without cats or children. She’ll thrive with someone who appreciates a cat with a strong personality, plenty of patience, and a willingness to listen to what she’s communicating. 🥰
If you’ve ever wanted a cat you could genuinely have a conversation with, Scary Spice is your girl! 🌶️ She’s clever, expressive, affectionate, hilarious, and completely convinced that the household should be run according to her rules.
And honestly?
She might just be right. 👑💅🌶️
Our adoptable cats are indoor-only to keep them safe, healthy and happy. We ask all adopters to provide a secure indoor home where their new companion can thrive.
For all cats under 12 months old, Rocky Roads Rescue has a strict, no single kittens adoption policy. Solo adoptions will only be permitted if specified in the cat's profile.

Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.

~The Adoption Process~
⦿ Adoption enquiry comes through
⦿ One of the RR team will reach out to discuss the adoption process with you - we are volunteers, please allow time for us to reach out to you!
⦿ Meet and greet is organised and completed - you head home! 💚
⦿ Family chats to decide if this adoption is right for you!
⦿ Adoption fee is paid
⦿ Contracts are signed and returned to RR
⦿ Pick up your new family member
⦿ 2 week trial period - during this time you can call and text any questions, concerns, celebrations etc to us!
⦿ At the end of the 2 week trial period we send you desex certificates, vaccination certificates and the microchip will be submitted for transfer into your name
Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
