Hi, my name is Champ. I'm a special boy with one eye. Give me a comfy place to nap, good meals (on time, please!), and lots of affection, and I'll be your devoted little shadow for life.

Nature
I came into foster care after having a ruptured eye removed. Now that I've recovered and learned what love is, I can't get enough of it. I'm always happy to come over for pats, curl up on the couch, sleep and purr beside my humans in bed, or relax on my cat tree.

I may be a little shy when we first meet, but don't let that fool you. Once I've settled in, I'm an affectionate, snuggly boy who will greet you when you wake up, welcome you home from work, and make sure you're never short on company.

My foster humans say I'm very chatty, especially when I want to let you know it's time for dinner or pats. Did I mention I love pats? They also lovingly call me "Mr Boof" because I'm a big, gentle boofhead with an even bigger heart.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I've learned to trust through gentle, patient interactions, so I'd thrive in a calm and quiet home. I would suit older or calm children who understand how to respect a cat's space while I settle in.

I absolutely love other cats, and my foster siblings have helped me grow into the confident boy I am today. Now that I've found my confidence, though, I've realised I don't like sharing all of the attention! I would do best with one friendly, relaxed cat who enjoys company and doesn't mind me plonking myself on top of them for a cuddle—I don't really believe in personal space.

I haven't met any dogs yet, but with slow introductions I would likely be happy living with a calm, cat-friendly dog (a fellow boofhead would suit me just fine). I'd also likely be happy as the only pet if my humans have plenty of love to give.

My PURR-fect home would be a peaceful, patient household where I can continue building my confidence at my own pace. I'd especially love a home with one friendly cat to keep me company, as having a feline friend helps me feel safe and gives me a snuggle buddy. In return, you'll gain a sweet, loyal companion who will fill your home with cuddles, conversation, and plenty of love.

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

Medical Notes: Champ had his left eye removed in January 2026. He has recovered well from this surgery and does not require any further treatment. Due to this, he will need to be a strictly indoor only cat, however may have access to a fully enclosed cat run.
