Meet Otis, a handsome boy who is finding life at the shelter quite overwhelming. He is a very nervous and frightened boy who isn't sure about humans yet, and his usual greeting is a hiss to let you know he needs some space.

Those hisses aren't because Otis is a bad boy - they're simply his way of saying he is scared. He needs someone who understands that trust takes time and who is happy to let him come around at his own pace.

Otis is looking for an experienced, quiet adult-only home where he can have a safe space of his own to retreat to while he settles in. His new humans will need to be patient and respectful of his boundaries, allowing him to decide when he is ready to interact.

We believe there is a very sweet boy hiding underneath all that fear, and with time, patience and the right environment, we hope Otis will learn that he is safe and can trust his humans. ❤️

He may never be the cat who demands attention, but earning the trust of a nervous cat is incredibly rewarding. If you have a quiet home and the patience to let Otis set the pace, you could be the person who helps this beautiful boy come out of his shell.
