Stripey

Stripey may be a little shy, but she's certainly not going to let that stop her from coming over to say hello.

This lovely girl has a gentle, friendly nature and enjoys meeting people, even if she likes to take things at her own pace. She'll come over to investigate, accept some gentle pats, and slowly lean in once she's feeling comfortable. There's something very sweet about the way she wants to be involved while still taking a moment to make sure everything feels safe.

Stripey enjoys affection, but she's also a girl who appreciates having a little say in when she's had enough. Lots of excitement or attention can sometimes become a bit much for her, so gentle interactions and little breaks will help keep everything happy and relaxed. Once you get to know her rhythm, she's a wonderfully friendly and social companion.

We think Stripey will really enjoy having a home where she can settle into her own routine, get to know her people properly, and show more of her personality away from the busy shelter environment. With a little patience and plenty of kindness, this sweet girl has all the makings of a lovely companion.

We encourage you to come and meet Stripey at our North Melbourne shelter as soon as possible, as our cats cannot be placed on hold. Give her a gentle hello and you might just find yourself making a very lovely new friend.
